Go to Whirlpool.com and penetrate your model number. You should be able to access an online how-to. If you're talking about changing a cartridge, it could be a very uncontrived job to replace if it's showing through the grille at the bottom front. Just rotate it a quarter turn to the left (you might have to use pliers) and diminish straight out. Don't be concerned about leakage, as there are o-rings. Then simply insert a new cartridge and turn one shelter clockwise. Then you have to bleed the air out of the system. Use a one or two quart container and fill it from your water dispenser. Done!

do a google search on your note "Whirlpool refrig" ( use your product Numbers for best results) manuel. Pick out the overpower search and get your question answered! This will tell you. You should change them regularly.

If it's the same as the older ones, they finish a go over out hard, we had to use a screw driver but, they just pop in.
We had to call Sears service office and a very nice girl led use through the get ready.

How long does it take to install a water softener and water filtration system for the whole house?

I'm asking to find out how great it would take a professional to do the installment.

I have two quotes so far; in Kissimmee, FL.

One person said he'll do it for a flat fee of $300.

The second herself said he'll do it for $75 an hour.

What are your thoughts? How much should the installation be if those quotes are incorrect and how long would it take to connect both the water softener and water filtration?

If it helps; the water softener and water filtration are Waterpool-Kenmore products bought from Lowes.

My whisper is to talk to your friends, neibors or anyone you know who may have had softeners installed. I have done installations that have cost 250 dollars and some that have cost 500 bonus. Get a highly recommended plumber to do the work. you will get a better plumber by word of mouth than looking them up in the yellow pages
