EMERGENCY WATER FILTER SYSTEM SHTF

How to move a emergency water filtering system for about $45.00. DIY build it yourself easy project for SHTF & WROL.

What is the best, affordable counter-top water PURIFICATION (not just filtration) system?

Please do not categorize faucet models. I've heard my water is treated with chlorine or bleach? I live in the San Geronimo Valley, CA. (Forest Knolls. )

I buy verso osmosis/UV sterilized water in 5 gallon bottles for a stand dispenser. I pay a quarter a gallon.

Good purifier units sell for upwards of 900 - 1400 dollars and the maintenance is expensive every year. They also waste 4 gallons for every gallon of drinkable water produced.

I'd think getting a price for water delivery or just use a Britta jug filter.

Definately a veto osmosis system

water filtration system..?

For my homework, I have to lay out a way for my school to collect and supply its own water that would be used for everything. It is very near a river.

What water purification/filtration systems could be suitable?

Many thanks.

The first way is to preserve some of your rain water. This is cleanest and needs less purification. Mostly, this would require some cleanup because the rain falls through dirty air and onto dirty roofs. but this can be done with filtration.

Whole house water filtration - experiences?

My parents moved into a townhouse community a while ago, and when I've gone to stop, I've found they have a lot of water problems. Aside from the pressure being low, which is merely an inconvenience, the water tastes and smells dirty and very questionable. Cooking with it alters the taste of meals, and using one or two blocks of ice ruins a whole drink. Sometimes even the dishes and clothes have a fragile odour after being washed. Occasionally I've turned on the tap to see the water coming out brown, enough that the sinks have to be scrubbed to shed residue. The townhouse community was only built about 5 years ago, and it all runs the local water supply.

I've installed water purification on the taps, but I've recently discovered that it's realizable to buy whole house filtration systems. I have no idea how to go about researching these. Does anyone have experience with them? How are they, cost-wise? Are they worth the investment? Do they demand a lot of construction, maintenance, etc?
Any other opinions or advice about finding out why the water is so problematic, dealing with the problems, and/or water filtration would be appreciated.

yes whole firm filtration is possible a water test is recommended to find whats wrong.usually supplys that serve more then 10 people or so reequire chlorine to disenfect water but if thats not the cause here you can try a few things that will improve the quality thruout the house .a large carbon tank 2 cubic feet and make good on it yearly cost could be about 300-500 a year.if thats not enough then there are some systems that are fairly costly but will work like a whole concern reverse osmossis with ozone being injected ,break out the check book for this one and keep a spare room for someone to vouchsafe it lol
