Why won't the water dispenser stop leaking from the filter housing on my frigidaire refrigerator?

I've in fine fixed the water pressure problem by replacing the self tapping valve with a normal valve, but water still leaks from the membrane strain housing when the dispenser is activated. So basically anytime I fill a glass with water or water is periodically filled into the ice dispenser, a good bit leaks from the side of the drip into the fridge. I couldn't possibly put any more teflon tape on it and the seal seems tight. What's opposite? Its a Pure Source brand filtration system.

If the seal is in worthy shape the plastic filter housing is most likely cracked. Shut off your water, take the filter housing off and place into custody it up to a light. You may find it has a small crack in it. You can also fill it with water and wipe it dry on the sides and look for water seeping out the sides.

it about the square footage of a regular 5 gallon water dispenser but it filters the water through these layers of soil and stones and things like that. the lady who has one (i saw it at her building while visiting a friend) is a yoga junkie and she told me its the same filtration system used by buddhist. but it looks really worthwhile and i would love to find out the name of it or where to get one..
please help!

sounds like some description of earth filter. they make them for swimming pools. you could try calling a water softener company,a pool trader or just google earth or soil filter.

Using pvc tubing/plumbing for water filtration system ok?

I very recently bought a large filtration system that will be used for two connected homes w/ two fridges w/ ice makers. The system is able to route water to the setup i lack, two faucet dispensers and the two ice makers. will pvc (3/8") vynyl tubing be ok to route the filtered water? i already have the "ice maker" lines installed on the fridges but ill be using about 75 ft of tubing to avenue the lines. local home depot only has pvc and guy there said it would be ok, but i need a second opinion, tnx.

Should be ok. If the faucet dispensers are in the fridges that should business, if they are for a kitchen sink 3/8" tubing may cause slow water flow.

Since you are looking for cleaner water be established to flush the PVC or tubing good before use. The PVC glue can leave a smell in the pipe.
