How long does it take for waste-water to be filtered through natural filtration and not by water treatment?

I emergency a reliable source for source citation. I cannot find a source that says specifically how long it takes water, once tempered to, to be filtered by nature back into a drinkable form. I know how long it takes to go through water treatment facilities, but not through the sensible process.

I've always heard that once water travels through 12 feet of turf and subsoil it is considered "in speaking terms" to be filtered.
This in no way doesn't fully mean it couldn't contain a micro organism if there is a source of continual pollution upon entrance into the soil.

Is there any use for the waste water that comes out of a reverse osmosis deionization water filtration unit?

Well, that would depend greatly upon what cast of water you are deionizing.

If, for example, you were making drinking water from sea water, the waste water could be further dehydrated via evaporation and sold as sea salt for a very good premium.

If you were purifying municipal water for some biological purpose, the waste water would not likely be of much use because the municipal treatment plant would likely have bewitched out almost everything already and add only a bit of chlorine in the form of sodium hypochlorite or calcium hypochlorite or some such. The clorine would likely damage your reverse osmosis membrane, so there would be some clear up of pre-treatment with something like sodium thiosulfate to neutralize the chlorine before it reached the reverse osmosis membrane, so your waste water would end up carry a mixture of sodium and/or calcium chlorides and sodium and/or calcium sulfates, which I don't imagine would be of much use to anyone, but then I don't identify everything . . .

A third example: If you were purifying water from a relatively unpolluted surface water source, say a cleanish lake or river, my estimate is that the waste water would make a pretty darned good fertilizer for agricultural use.

Reverse Osmosis pure or waste water?

I right-minded got a new RO filter, 3 stage filtration. There are two tubes where water comes out of one is faster than the other. I don't know which one is the pure water and which one is the waste water. (ie: with an RO filter do you get more waste water or more unalloyed water?)
Its an aquapro brand. How can i tell for sure, coz i collected and tasted both the water. The Slower one wasn't the "water drop" i'm used to, while the faster one tasted better than tape water.
