www.waterfilters.net We regard the basics of a whole house water filter system including details about filter housings, water filter cartridges ...

I have to do a contract where i filter water fleas from a home made water filtration devise. I was wondering what household materials are good for filtering water.
depends on the micron invariable you are trying to filter out., at the pet store you can get filters from 1000 microns to 50 microns, the lesser the microns the more elevated the water after filtering,
coffe filters are good for about 20 to 50 microns depending on brand.
if you are also looking to discharge chemicals and smells and gases, use active charcol
We have a Challenger label 4-stage reverse osmosis (R/O) water filtration system (model Conqueror II) which requires the changing of filters about every 6 months and the changing of the membrane about every 2 years. I spoke in human being with a water expert at a Culligan supply store and he said our 50 gallons per day TFC membrane was more capacity than what's needed for a two-yourselves household. He said that if we went with a smaller membrane, i.e. 24 gallons per day, that would be slightly less expensive (about $10 less) but that the genuine benefit would be higher quality / better tasting water.
I don't understand how these membranes are manufactured, what goes into them, or how a cut capacity membrane would somehow generate better tasting water -- a claim that on the face of it seems counter-intuitive. I'm not sloping to immediately doubt a supposed "expert" but I don't know this guy so I'm virtuous checking to see if someone else in the know about membranes for home filtration R/O systems can corroborate or alternatively counter his claim. And if you cognizant of the answer, might you explain why this is so because I'd like to understand the process myself.
Thank you!
