Atlona's Lecturer Wall Plates are designed for users who want to have all of their speaker and HDMI wires in one discrete place. Perfect for a ...

I can run the wires from my wall mounted tv, but are there any good wall plates for where the wires exit?

I will have the power line, hdmi and coax to the cable box. Any sites where wall plates for this purpose would be greatly appreciated.

The plates are to hand but we will need more info to get you the right one. Go to www.haveservices.com click on Contacts then call or email. We can check and see if it is a standard notice or if we need to have one made for you.

You need to avoid running AC power cords next to interconnects if possible.

You also need to make sure any wires you run in wall are "CL3" or "In Wall" rated so they dont spread fire. This is often fire unwritten law' in many places.

You really dont want to 'break' the cables at a wall plate. Initiate a plastic electrical outlet box and buy $0.80 blank wall plates and drill custom holes for the cables, but liberty them un-broken.

You can get BNC or "F" connectors in wall plates - and these are the only unions I would use for HD video if you must put connectors on a wall plate (RCA plugs are absolutely rather poor for signal transmission).

I'm afraid I dont have a good idea how to put a HDMI connector into a wall picture.

How do I mount surround sound speakers to pre-wired wall plates?

I built a new dynasty and the surround sound installer used standard electrical boxes with solid standard wall layer covers. I have found little info on the net about what will and will not work with these. Can I bolt on bracket mounts to the solid plate and carry out this work? If not, what are my other options, as this seems to be the standard for new construction homes that are pre-wired. Thanks for your advice.
These are on the wall about 8 feet up. Would it be plausible to attach brackets to the blank (solid) plates? I don't understand why new home construction definition of "pre-wired" would conclusion in having to run the wire out of the plate and then to a bracket on the wall. There must be some product that attaches to the electrical box? Thanks...
The speakers are small Bose cube surrounds...

It's tough to answer this without more detail, so I'll give you some suggestions and you can pick what is applicable.

First, where are the plates ... near the floor or high on the walls? Are the wires internal the boxes, and you have to use some alternate cover plate? How big are the speakers?

Assuming you have blank plates on boxes high on the wall, the first dubiousness is how do you want to do this?

You can buy plates with a single round hole ... these would allow a wire to be passed from the box through the (new) plate and on to the speaker. Look for a sheet for a rotary dimmer switch at your local hardware store.

Or you can buy plates that have speaker binding posts ... you would unite the wires to the inside of the (new) plates and then connect speakers using a short wire with appropriate connectors to the binding posts (See links for some options)

As to mounting the speakers, there are many options.

Some speakers have optional wall mounting brackets. These custom fit the speaker and may be an option.

Or you can buy speaker wall mounting brackets, or barely sit the speakers on appropriate size shelves, or install wall anchors and "hang" the speakers on the wall. The latter election works best for speakers with mounting cutouts on the back (e.g. keyhole slot(s)).

See the links for some ideas.

Cut EDIT

I'm not aware of any such plates. The issue is that speakers come in all sorts of sizes and it is usually the lecturer manufacturer that produces a wall bracket.

I bought a house that had Bose speakers sitting on little shelves made from baseboard molding.
