i want a wall plate for surround sound and video?

Can someone communicate me if theres a more compact way of having a wallplate to connect surround sound and video from one room to another than an rca panel with left-hand right video, rear left rear right sub front?

You can securing a wireless system, which would eliminate having to use wires, and wall plates both. The transmitter connects to the audio/video source, and converts the signal to an IR (infrared), or with some systems, an RF (disseminate frequency) signal, which I think is better for room to room use, and the receiver is wired to each of the speakers. If you don't prerequisite to go that route, then I would suggest using a "twisted pair" wire cable that supports the comprehensive number of speakers you need to wire. Example: a ten-wire twisted pair has five pairs of wire in one rope. That would support a LR front, LR surround, and a subwoofer. A shielded cable would have to be used for the video connection.

How do you wire an S-Video port?

I recently purchased a 40" TV for my bedroom (Samsung M87) and I partiality it. Problem is, cables make it look bad. I have purchased a couple of wall plates; with Composite Video, Component Video, an RF connection and S-Video connections, I call for to know how to wire an S-Video connection (solder it).

Can you help?

Suggestions for multi-connector HDTV wall plates?

I'm prospering to be mounting my new plasma HDTV on the wall and would like to find a good, multi-connector wall plate that I can put on either end of the wall for connecting the components to the TV. In principle the wall plate(s) would have 2 HDMI jacks, an S-video jack, component video jacks, left/right audio jacks, an ethernet jack, and a cable jack.

Has anybody found such wall plates, or what would you praise instead for connecting the various cables through the wall?

If you would like a dish custom make for that application please email me. Everything you describe is doable except maybe the HDMI, you should not be pluggin that type of wire into wall plates, then jumping it out again. You should have the wall print made with a small hole for the cable to exit from and go directly to the TV. HDMI is a little sensitive to being "interrupt spliced" together whereas many other technologies are not.
