How to hang a very large plate on the wall?

I have a smashing ceramic plate I would like to hang on a wall, but I can't find a device capable of holding such a large plate. The plate is 22" in diameter in 4" the waters. It weights about 20 lbs.

I was looking through a decorating order and saw a beautiful china plate wall display I'd like to try, the problem is I can't think of a way to hang the plates on the wall.

As an outmoded dealer I would strongly recommend you not use the common plate hangers that have the little metal clips that catch the tense of the plate. That is unless you are not concerned if your plates get damaged.
