My dining range needs some serious redecorating, but there is a display of blue and white plates on the wall that must stay. What sort of colors/themes goes with these plates? I have corpse-like walls and navy curtains right now, and while that matches, it is hideously boring.
I accept, yellow does go nice with blue and white. Sounds like French Country to me, you might be deficient in to add some red. I've pasted a link to a picture of a french country dining room that uses Toille (pronounched twa-ll)
I have been looking everywhere and can not find a 3 unite wall plate with a single decor opening. Do these even exist? Because I really need one. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have not seen one but you can buy the crack together plates and build one. It's not the ideal solution but it's better than nothing!
See the link below, scroll down for various options.
the plates i wish for stained will be hung on wall. They have white background with red toile design...
There isn't any way you can sully them, but you could probably overlay a color using glass or ceramic paint. Delta and Plaid frame a glass paint, and a slightly tinted yellow with a touch of umber would probably give you the tonal value you impecuniousness.
Another alternative would be to mount the plates on, or paint, a background that is a tonal value between the beige you want to match and the "cadaverous" in the plate. This will help carry the eye, and fool it into thinking the plate has a beige tone. Another would be a red value training that is deeper than the red in the plate, but works well with beige, to also help fool the eye into seeing the white background as beige.
While this isn't a imperishable solution, you can get tinted wax at the hardware store. Gently buffing a layer of Golden Oak over the plate will give it a beigy tinge and give the plates an venerable look -- bear in mind that this will also darken the red a tad also. Tinted wax is available from hardware stores (Domestic Depot, for some reason, doesn't carry it.)
Glazing is another alternative, as this will give a translucent tint. The delinquent with glazing is the glaze can easily pool and streak. Tinted glazes are available at most hardware stores and some vocation centers.
I've included Plaid's site for you to look at (couldn't find Delta's).

Longing that helps.
