Laptops have a "Fn" + Ctrl/LCD lead to conveniently switch between monitor viewing and TV (VGA) viewing. Does a desktop support this function? Is there a keyboard instruct or built in utility I can use to switch viewing styles without unplugging

No.


But desktop computers don't have a built-in cathode-ray tube screen. You simply unplug the one that you don't want and plug in the other one.
