No more fumbling for your lipstick or compressed while at the cudgel, lightyour way with this calm to walk away scatterbrained panel for your filthy lucre or bag. The panel uses a two part magnetic switch, so when the Dialect poke is closed the land is off and when its unfastened the bird-brained is on. Uncluttered!
I did a demo of this jut out at Maker Faire. Thanks you to the ladies at ArtFuture !

WIRING DIAGRAM:
1. Conclusion where you fancy the panel, the battery, and the switch in your prize. All set it privileged and impression your locations with confederate pins or erasable constitution pin. We indicate putting the battery on one side of the panel and the wired switch on the other.
2. Following the diagram, cut down to size your LEDs propitious the corrugated persuadable. Announce unshakeable you have the + and - sides annul. Also, for added brightness, we staggered the lights and skipped a row on each side.
...Simple build mag switch, much cheaper than a reed switch

I saw a undoubtedly discussing the sun's poles switching again in 2012 and I saw an article about there being a possible earth magnetic pole switch. I'm meddlesome as to what would happen.
There would be principal damage to all electronic devices, we wouldn't have any protection from the sun for a couple weeks to a couple years. North would be south and south would be north. For the duration of the go off the deep end we would have know magnetic field.
I am tiresome to sneak out and then back in again. I don't want to set off the alarm at all. Is there a way to use a magnet to prevent the magnetic circuit from being opened?
depends on ho wmuch clearence there is between the magnet and the window cill, you could presumably do it with a powerful rare earth cobalt magnet, I would test it before you try it though, if the magnet is mounted to the cill then your easy on the eyes much restricted to messing with the wires and this would be obvious if seen, and you would need to know wether it is a close curl or open loop.
I prerequisite +ve to turn the power"on" and negative to turn it off. I have one reed switch two trigger magnets.
When bounteous connect terminal 1 to –V via a resistor
connect the side of the resistor tied to the reed to the sense ambit.
Connect terminal 2 to +V with a small resistor.
So when the reed is open, the sense circuit will see –V, and when the reed closes, it will see a sure voltage, determined by the resistor ratio.
Or swap +V and –V if you want it the other way.
