Linksys switch only allows 3 things to be connected to internet?

I have a linksys switch that is connected to a PC, a modem, and an Xbox 360. I straight got a new computer and when I plug it into the switch, it picks up the switch but won't connect to the internet. Anyone know what's wrong?

Set switch POWER OFF.

Reset modem: With a straightened paperclip, press RESET button momentarily.

Hold on 60 secs.

Set switch POWER ON.

Reset switch: With a straightened paperclip, press RESET button momentarily.

Lacuna 60 secs.

PC Command Line:

Click [Start] - Click [Run...] - submit: cmd, Click [OK]

At the prompt (c:\.....>) enter: ipconfig /release, press [ENTER]

well the linksys switch comes from the mill programmed fore 4 ip's you can change this to 5 I believe depending on your switch but you can find this out at http://linksys.com

How to setup and configure multiple access points on Linksys switch?

I am irritating to setup Wireless Internet for Hotel Business. Currently the business has one modem and one Netgear WPN824 Router installed. I essential to know what type of cable i need to setup straight through or cross over cable? Is possible to setup and configure access points over one Linksys Switch. The access points will be Linksys products also.

I bought a Linksys Switch but only one of the computers can go online?

I'm using Earthlink radiogram service in New York City.
I have two computers at home so I bought a linksys switch to allow two computers to go online at the same heretofore.
However, only one of the computers can go online.
The other either is unable to determin ip or shows connected but unable to surf internet or aol.
I be curious if I need to setup anything.
Thank you for your reponses.

In commitment for a switch to allow two or more computer to connect through one internet connection you need to...
1) Connect it thru a DHCP enabled Router, or consign each computer a static LAN IP.
2) Use the ICW (Internet Connection Wizard) in Xp to configure computer 1 straight to the internet, and computer 2 configured to access the internet thru computer 1.

I use chance one, simple because it is the simplest and most reliable. You can connect several platforms thru a router, XP, 9x, DOS, MAC, Linux, Beos,... with very microscopic problems.

The one in the example below even has a print server.
