I a moment ago moved into a new residence that has 10 phone jacks. When the phone services was turned on, the only activated jack was in the larder – not a useful fingers on. Patently, since there were two lines times in my become successful, SBC activated the one that was most recently disallow off. I called SBC and they said that I could either pay them to premiere c end out and fix it by switching the bustling border over to the other jacks, or I could find the point box and switch the lines myself. Any dream how to do this?

I saw a gimmick like a hub/switch but to it was connected a telephone line. The ethernet output of the switch goes to a Leadtek SIP adaptor.
What kind of a switch have I seen? Also how does the switch fondle the circuit-switched data it receives

Currently, I have a two cortege phone plugged into a telephone jack that is wired as follows:
Top left: orange
Bottom left: white/verdant
Top right: white/orange
Bottom right: green
What changes would I have to make

This is not gauge wiring for phone lines with 4 twisted pairs or what is called cat5 or cat5e

Usually:
line 1 is blue/blue-Caucasian
line 2 is orange/orange-white
line 3 is green/green-white
line 4 is brown/brown
