Obtain the correct breaker for the one you are replacing.

If there were a plain switch I'm sure this would have taken 5 minutes. As it is, I'm not sure if turning all the circuit breakers off cut all the incoming juice. I hooked a voltmeter up and touched the new hot wires hoping they'd read zeros. They didn't.

change off that breaker and take it out, it should not be a problem as long as you remove the load from it (i.e. shutting it off)

you sure there is no main? it would be a double pole breaker rated @ 100 amps or 150
