how do i set up a linksys 10/100 5-port workgroup switch?

i have a ethernet line hooked from my desktop to my router and i got a switch with 5-ports so i can hook up my xbox too. I dont know how set up the switch board so i can get my xbox and desktop continuous from the router in my basement. can any one

It's tuneful simple to get a switch going. Take one of the cables from the router and plug it into the switch. Now, take a cable from any computers/devices that need internet access and puff them into a different port on the switch!

My parents recently switched from DSL to Comcast and I can't semblance out how to hook my wireless router up to it.
