Can someone help me with electronic switches?

I was wondering:
1) What does it plan by momentary switches?
2) Are tactile switches momentary?
3) And finally, I had a device that has a tactile switch for the ON/OFF switch and the power documentation is an external battery, if i put a different switch (lets say toggle or push button) on the leads to the battery, would operating the new twitch allow for the device to work, without the need to press the ON/OFF switch on the device everytime?

Passing means that when the switch is operated it makes or breaks contact for only a very brief time.

Tactile means the exchange produces a feedback that is felt through it's button or lever when it is operated. They can be momentary or constant.

If the tactile reversal being replaced is a momentary switch that toggles an electronic switch in the power supply if must remain a momentary paradigm. If it toggling type that cycles between open and close states then it can be replaced with another similar switch, but that won't gain ground you anything.

Is compact fluroscent lamp (CFL)suitable for enclosed down lighters & dimming or electronic switches?

I purchased new epigrammatic fluorescent lamp (CFL 11 Watt ELT) on outer carton the company has written " Not applicable for enclosed downlighters & not suitable for dimming or electronic switches"
Why?

It is not designed for it.

I belive this CFL 11 WAtt ELT, miss minimum 110 volt to start and maintain the lighting, most dimming is done by dropping the voltage. This will genesis the light to "not operate" properly and it may not come on.

I believe you can get compatible bulbs and dimmer now but they are not readyly ready and cost is very high.
