If I have a switch, battery and a LED how do I hook those up so when the switch is off the LED is off?

The switch has two posts. I belive the way you palm a switch up is use negative or positive on one post and the other post connects to the object you are trying to power. So would the LED have one post connected straight away to the battery while the other is connected to the switch while the switch is connected to the battery? And would that still drain the battery while it is in the off position?

Well, first, you are usual to need a resistor in this circuit of yours.

Secondly, if the switch is a SPST as it sounds, it makes no difference how it is connected.

Closely, all you have to do is connect everything in series. If you can do that, there is no wrong way to connect it... but you are going to need to limit the current and since you told me nothing about the battery, you've made it unthinkable for me to figure it out for you.

I puzzled the battery out of my verizon phone and im curious if i can switch my number back to my previous phone for a few days until i get a new battery, then switch it back. Thanks

Yes they can do that and you should go to a accumulate because it is simplier if the verizon people can see the problem instead of just hear about it. Hope this helps! Meet luck =]

ultimate. I would like to change the switch location to near the positive terminal of the battery to eliminate the slow battery discharge when carrier as sat for sometime. Does this sound electrically correct?

yes put it on the enthusiastic side when you flip it it will kill all power from preventing fires and theft a 34 is to valuable street rod not to take care of rite ive been rodding for 20 yrs with a 40 buick
