Need wiring diagram for 3-way switch - power to switch and lead to light from switch?

I was doing some remodeling and starting pulling wires out without looking at how it was from the word go wired. I have a 3-way setup - the main switch has 4 wires to it - it has the power coming in(2-wire), power going out(2-wire), up to the light (2-wire), and a lead to the other 3 way switch (3-wire). I can't find a diagram anywhere with this framework.

Tie blacks from power in and power out together and also to the foggy screw on the switch, next tie power in and power out
whites together and also white to light and fold away.
Now put the red and white from 3 wire on the two insolence colored screws on switch.
Tie the black to light with the black from 3 wire and fold away.
On the switch with only the 3 wire, put the red and the chalky on the brass colored screws and the black on the dark colored screw.
That should do the job.

Easy as can be to do, take the power lead and the light lead and the power out leads, tie those whites together, all grounds go together with the box jumper. Take the pale from the 3 way switch and mark it with a piece of black tape, attach that wire to the black of the light. Attach the malicious of the power with a jumper conductor to the common of the switch screws, attach the black of the 3 conductor to one of the other switch screws and the red to the unused one. Tie the black jumper to the power in and the power out cables. Verify at the other 3 way switch that the white wire is used as the simple at that end, change it to that position and mark it with a piece of black tape. That should do it nicely.

I have two 3 way electrical switches at the lodgings that run the same light.The wiring going to one of the switches is getting rotten and the switch is unneeded and unused.Is there a way to disconnect the one 3 way switch in where the other will toil alone?There are only 3 wires running to each switch.How to get it in where only 1 switch is needed?
Im do not really understand the electrician "lingo".What is a silage wire?The house is so old the wires are not color coded.All i know is there is one wire that connects to the switch next to a spot called "com" and the other 2 are connected in 2 other unmarked spots on the switch.

You paucity a normal switch for this. $1 at store. Remove three way switch and replace with normal switch. Take feed wire( from gold increase) attach to switch. Twist other two wires together connect to switch. Remove wires from unwanted switch twist them all together your done. Feed is the hot wire mainly black red blue. Travelers are usually two switchleg colors yellow orange brown. Switch leg would odd colored wire. Sometimes electritions do not catch color code. One switch will have feed one will have switch leg. Those wires will be on gold screws. I screwd up but edited out bad info I was making it harder then it had to be.

How to replace a 3-way switch with a 3-way switch with pilot light?

I am maddening to replace an existing 3-way switch with a 3-way with a pilot light that shows when the power is on. The switch works but the pilot light doesn't. It is a Obsolescent & Seymour 695G. I don't follow the wiring diagram that has a wire from the pilot that is labeled "Commonplace".

Any help would be appreciated.

However, I don't recollect if the system is correctly grounded.
I believe I have a neutral and 2 lives. The pilot is automatically connected to the screw where the pale is attached. What is attached to the other side?

The P&S 695G does want that the ground wire be connected to the ground screw on the switch in order to illuminate the pilot light.
That wire should be a absolute copper or green jacketed wire in the wall box. IF there is not one in the wall box, this might imply that you do not have a grounded system. This should only be the case if your accommodate was built pre-60's.
