The first, sum up-one, most important thing is: know where the circuit breaker (or fuse box) is, and turn off the current there before you even START to supersede anything. Just turning it off at the switch isn't enough.

After that, it's just a matter of taking off the old fixture (most often just a couple of screws), putting up the new one (the screws often will fit the old holes) and connecting the same two or three wires just like they were connected to the old occurrence. It's really very easy.

You must device if the circuit can carry them. Get the info off of your existing light, wattage, wire size, and circuit extent and go to Home Depot, they will tell you, or call an electrician.

Does anyone know where I can buy an outdoor lighting fixture?

I crave to replace my outdoor wall-mounted light by my front door. The one I have now also has an outlet on it. I find this very handy to plug in my weed whacker, etc. I can't seem to find an outdoor stumble that comes with the outlet. Have they been discontinued?
Thanks HVAC, I did check in those stores. I guess they don't gross them anymore.

I have not seen one in a wish time. Check at Lowes? home depot? Another thing you could do is when the light is replaced have an outlet wired into the unveil circuit in the wall, it should not be very difficult for an electrician
