Installing Outdoor Landscape Lighting

Restrain out these easy tips on how you can install outdoor landscape lighting!

Outdoor/Garden Lighting???

Has anyone ever seen Small outdoor lighting (something like fairy lights or Xmas tree lights or lanterns) that is battery powered? Perchance using a torch battery or similar??? It is about 5 metres from my house to my gazebo - stretch cords are ugly and are tricky with kids around.

i found some de facto cute ones on this web site hope this helps

Why not checkout HGTV for ideas maybe they have an email location in which you can write to.

Preferably of battery powered lights you should go with solar powered lights we have bought many of them at wallmarts but Lowe's and many other places have them, you will find the charge of batteries adds up, solar powered ones the only expense is the cost of them and there are many styles.

please recommend a set of durable outdoor garden lights?

I am replacing some old 12v outdoor garden lights for a pen-pal's walkway. They look cheap
and are falling apart after 5-years. I want to replace them with a set of durable ones that look fine. I am avoiding solar, because they are far too dim and I already have the 12v wiring in place.
I would appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks

Years ago I had Toro label and they worked great, then I switched to solar, and I have been through sets almost once a year.

I am going back to Toro and not using solar.
Solar have some slight designs, but do not last long. It seems that the solar panel always turn cloudy and then it's trash.

Toro is my suggestion. They can be found at any town home improvement and most stores like, Target, Walmart, etc.

What materials are commonly used for producing outdoor garden lights?

For casing, or for the casting of the real product.
So far I seem to see ABS and stainless steel popping up a lot.
I'm wondering, is aluminium commonly used as well as stainless sword? and with plastics, is polycarbonate common, or is there another main thermoplastic?
thanks

The two plain things that are going to deteriorate the material is water and sun light. Avoiding easily corroded materials such as inure is a good idea. Plastics can be subject to deterioration from UV.

Other than that its cost. Stainless Steel would seem an expensive means to buy and manufacture from so I wouldn't expect that to be used much. It doesn't paint too easy either. Aluminium is good as it casts impartially easy.
