Is conduit pipes needed for low voltage landscape lighting in NYC?

Hello,

Does anyone identify if NYC code requires conduit pipes for low voltage wiring around an outdoor garden area?

If so, does the conduit require to be running along the floor or can it be mounted along a concrete wall?

I inherited the installed system and am uncommon with how to connect/disconnect lights...

All of the lights are wired in parallel. More than likely each occasion is attached to the two wire cable. Lift one out and see. You can simply disconnect the ones you want, and use waterproof insulation on the stock wire. You can buy waterproof splice kits if you need to.

I would like to be versed if the cable connectors on low voltage landscape lights are rated for direct burial.The reason I ask is because the end of the wires coming off the not weighty are bare.

I also read that at the end of a run I can just cut the wire and bury it without capping it off, or sealing it in any way.Wouldnt burying mooring with bare ends cause the reset switch on the power pack to trip.

I would seal the end of these wires with silicone or some other sealant to at least keep mollify out.
