you can if the led is the same voltage as the bulbs now in use. You are already prudence energy by using low voltage lighting so i would not change. Leds are pretty expensive

so my porch well-lighted right now is a CFL, its enclosed in one of those glass globe things, but it attracts a lot of bugs at night.

if i replace it with an LED flame (as those yellow bug spotlights will just be too dim to keep the front of my house lighted properly at night) do the LED ones keep bugs away ?

i over like the other person said they may make specific bug CFL Lights that are bright enough to light the front of your house.

if you can find a actually at the lowes who actually knows what they are talking about maybe you can get some help on that end. I have the same prob at my house lots of bugs around the polished white light and am looking into getting something else too.
