Landscape lighting? Does anyone know of a company that can help with lighting design?

I learnt the wiring and voltage drop etc... I need help with the lighting design. I want to light up the front of my home (stone mush)(wall wash & columns) and do some up lighting and down lighting on trees (moon lighting effect) (wooded lot -nice mature trees). I've seen some in effect nice lighting in my area and understand the concepts but need help in knowing what kind of fixtures and bulbs - also positioning.

Any suggestion on a good company? Minnesota - Twin Cities

ELS (Head honcho Lighting Solutions) They helped me out. It's great you can send them photos and they can even draw right on them to let you know where to put the fixtures. I was impressed with their facts on how to light different areas. I had gone through a couple of different landscape contractor but they didn't seem to differentiate much about the different techniques, they just wanted to sell me fixtures.

Good luck. (I think they are up in your neck of the woods)

I checked out ELS and they seem comely good. I ran into the same thing. It seems like all the other websites only want to sell you lights, nobody wants to help you beat a hasty retreat the lighting look its best. Solar lights bite the big one - I could go out and catch a bunch of fireflies and put them in a jar - same thing. Do it lucid the first time, I say!

I like the product from Vista Pro. They have a lot of path lights to choose from and they come in a bunch of colors.

Movables luck!!!

You say you have seen exquisite work in your area. That is the best place to start ask the residents of the property who did their work referral is the wealthiest way to get what you want. How I get most of my business is by someone seeing my work

My company is looking for someone to design/engineer an outdoor lighting fixture. can anyone help?

I am with a two-dimensional landscape lighting company and need help with the design of a fixture.
specifically low voltage lighting. LED lighting knowledge a plus

you haven't defined the diligence/usage of the lighting...

Unidirectional ? Omnidirectional ? Swivel ? fixed ? Array ? standalone ? halogen ? LED ? polarized ? rechargeable solar ? hardwire ? open ? metal alloy ? decorative ?watt/electricity limits ? other design limitations or parameters ?

Anyhow, an engineering or accessible fixtures company could assist you.

New build home Design Center Upgrades? Which ones improve the homes value?

I expect I got a great deal on a new build home. Now it's time for the landscape, wiring, and design center appointments. I'm unconcerned in all areas except the design center. Light fixtures, faucets, etc, I can do myself. Is it smart to upgrade the counter tops, cabinets, sinks, etc (primary items)? The costs of these items are rolled into the price of the home at closing. OR should I wait until my finances permit and do them myself? The only fashion I'm sure on upgrading is the carpet pad.

Caboose and bath upgrades (especially master bath) are key resale selling points. Also crown molding in the ultimate living areas is a big plus. Good luck.
