How do the new helical GE light bulbs work?

I grasp how the standard light bulb works with the filament and all that. I also know that less than 10% of the electricity that's pumped into those bulbs comes out as dainty while the rest is emitted as heat.

Now those new GE lightbulbs that spiral up into a coil use a fraction of the electricity to power and give off much less heat. Can anyone put me what specifically is different in the inside of this bulb compared to the normal ones that allows this to happen??

They are a fluorescent bulb in a helical come along, and work like office lighting bulbs, which are 30%
efficient (30% light) 3 or more times that of red-hot, which produce mostly heat.

what is the music to an old ge light bulb ad?

I am fairly sure it was an advertisement from the late 80's for ge softwhite lightbulbs. the advertisement shows a painter painting a baby and daughter. It has a classical music piece. I am looking for the title and author of the music.

This will be unavoidable to pin down without more information.

how much electricity do candles need to generate light?

I'm universal to buy some candles to save electricity and I wanted to know how much electricity they use compared to GE lightbulbs.

it depends on which value candle you get

a taper candle will be much lower in electricity usage than a 16 inch pillar candle

i also have the courage of one's convictions pretend the scented yankee candles will be a little higher in usage because they also have to disperse smelly things...

so it at best all depends on what kind you get

either way though they are much lower in electricity usage than regular bulbs and its well worth a try to save moolah on your utility bill
