Flourescent lightbulbs?

My ceiling fan emits yellow luminous, but i would like white light (the lighting you find in schools/grocery stores) I have flourescent light bulbs the swirly kind-hearted but the light is still yellow, i would like white light, is there a kind of swirly light that emits Caucasian light (like those long tubes)

"Cold white" emits a blue/white light. You might also be able to find a "genuine" light variety which more closely approximates sunlight.

Turning flourescent lightbulbs on and off?

Does it indeed save money to turn off Flourescent lights when not in use? I have heard that it costs more when you are turning them on and off than to just leave them on during the day while you are in and out of the stay.

Yes. There is a well forth in power when turning on a fluorescent light, but keeping it on uses more power than the startup draw.

ok, I'm doing a science project on ways to make my school campus more Earth-affectionate. So, I thought that id we used flourescent light bulbs that it would help, and I've been doing some research and what I've been reading says that they would nick b/c they give off less heat and so on, and I'm just looking at other peoples opinions.
I also had to interview people so if you would like to mitigate you can snswer these questions.
1. What do you think is a good way to help conserve energy?
2. How would you use your idea on a school campus?
3. What do you fantasize about florescent light bulbs? Do you think that they would help the environment and how?
4. Since Campbell uses a lot of energy to delicate the school do you think that florescent light bulbs would be beneficial?
5. Do you think that there would be any problems with florescent highlight reveal bulbs, and if so what are they?

Honey, most apparent buildings, schools and offices are already using fluorescent tube lighting, and have been since the 1960s or earlier. Before you enter upon on this assignment, be sure that your school isn't using them already, or it could prove embarrassing...
