I am replacing some paradigm recessed lights with low voltage recessed lights. These are halogen low voltage and not CFBs. I am wondering if I can increase the number of lights on this leg of the course from the existing 6, would like 8 (there are other lights throughout the house on this 15A circuit). Today there are six 6inch 65W sample incandescent lights, would like 8 low voltage (12v) 50W lights. Not sure if there is anything specific I need to be caring with with respect to low voltage lighting.

Should of added, the potentially new lights have integrated transformers. It is not 1 transformer for all shared lights, 1 transformer (integrated to recessed can) per trivialize. thanks.

as crave as the total wattage of the lights does not exceed the power output of the transformer, you can add more. you will have to divide the many of light by wattage by the amount of output available, you cannot exceed that with burning out the transformer and perhaps causing a fire

Indoor lights into outdoor lights?

I'm looking for out of doors wall mount sconce style lights for an outside bar. All the cool ones are either indoor only or outdoor and $300 each. Is it realizable to fix up the wiring/bulb receptacle so I can use an indoor light outdoors? How?

In a parley, no. Lighting manufacturers put labels on their products that say 'Approved for outdoor or wet locations' for a good apologia. That said, a fixture made for a bathroom (= wet location) could be used outdoors, but most of those items are more functional than decorative. Most idea (= what I would do) is to go to a recycled building material yard-type place and look for salvaged alfresco fixtures. For new stuff, one great site is 'Restoration Hardware;' another is 'Frontgate.' Low-voltage fixtures look after to be more problematic than they're worth (because of transformers, etc.), but that's just my opinion.
