5 Ton Trane Heat Pump blowing 5 amp fuse

The ratiocinate being, it sounds like you are getting a deficient rare in the T-Stat wire. With the wire insulation being torn to jeopardize move copper wire. Sometimes the wires do not succinct until the fan kicks on and the wire run (unprotected in the proceeds air) will rub and excluding out the fuze. This is a load shield for the vestige down transformer so do not ignore it. Retard the wire and piece back.

OK to replace 3 AMP fuse with a 5 AMP?

My where one lives stress AC has a short-circuit. I would like to know if I could replace the 3 AMP fuse with a 5 AMP fuse? Any harm/overheating?

Thanks!
Just to make clear, this is for a home gas furnace

no do not put a higher rated fuse in than what was there at...reasons are to protect the wiring from overheating and melting possible fire hazard...where is this 3 amp fuse ...is it in the electronic steer board in the inside unit...if yes ...then you need to call an hvac tech to come and find out why it blew...

no

Greets..

Do not upgrade fuses...... ANY fuses.

You can go down to lessor....But never up...

It's there to obviate your house from burning down.

Really!

It will toil, but it's not OK. The wiring for that particular circuit is all set up for a 3 amp load. If there's any reason at all that you draw more than 3 amps you imperil frying that circuit, or starting a fire.
If the 3 amp fuse is blowing regularly, then there's a problem, or there's been something added to the border that draws too much current.

Bad belief.

no you cant ,

the enigma is , if you do , the lamp, TV , whatever your using will over heat, and may cause a fire ,
best stick to the same fuse ,and figure out the problem

no do not put a higher rated fuse in than what was there at...reasons are to protect the wiring from overheating and melting possible fire hazard...where is this 3 amp fuse ...is it in the electronic call the tune board in the inside unit...if yes ...then you need to call an hvac tech to come and find out why it blew...

No it is not okay to use a 5 as a substitute for of a 3 amp fuse. First you must locate and remove the short. If a 5 amp fuse works it could cause overheating of the appliance and/or wiring and/or plugs-socket. The 3 amp fuse is 3 amp for a convince, the fault must be found, either in the wiring or an appliance plugged into the wiring. If you have too many appliances plugged into the 3amp circuit then unplug them and get one's hands another separately fused circuit for some of them to run on.

No, not ever, never. As stated by others, the fire risk is the ranking reason. Find out WHAT is causing the short (are you sure it's a short?) and remedy the problem...and why isn't it on a dedicated A/C-only 20-amp pale? I hope you're not using an extension cord on this thing...and have you had the refrigeration-charge checked...it might be licit low, overstressing the compressor, which heats up and blows the fuse. Sounds like it's "call a LICENSED electrician all together," sport.

Sir:
Do not do this. To be on the up, it may not make a difference, maybe, are you willing to take the chance? Is it worth having a fire and maybe killing your next of kin and burning down your house while you sleep? The chances are not that great, but still is it worth it? It has happened before.

Find out why the fuse is blowing and get it fixed. Any electrician will determine you the same thing. If he doesn't then I do not want him working in my house.

No it is unsafe in case of short circuit, also if power surge increase it will damage ur equipment

No. Always use the same standard and rating as the original. The design engineers chose it for a reason.

Can you replace a 3 amp fuse with a 5 amp fuse without repercussions?

This is specifically for a Bryant furnace, that burnt the 3 amp fuse on it's ambit board.

you can but it is extremely not recommended!!!

the wires will over heat and cause major damage, if there was a short in the system the fuse blew in order to screen them from burning up.

Avoid fire hazard and use the right fuse for the job save your self from high costs of repairs.

Will using 10 amp fuse wire instead of 5 amp stop the house lights shorting?

Irregularly the lights in the house pop and short circuit. The fuse box says to use 5 amp fuse wire. I have replaced it a couple of times and it is still the same. I wondered if using 10 amp fuse wire would explicate the problem or whether I should get the electrics checked?

You probablly have some cool off or dirty connections at your light fixtures. Have an electrician check the circut and all fixtures. NEVER OVERSIZE A FUSE/BREAKER on a circut unless you like talking to Firemen. I have also noticed recently that many deplane bulbs ( imported ) aren't worth much as to lifespan.
