I am replacing it in a UPS back up dynamism for my computer.
please if you dont know dont answer, dont guess.
Theoretically speaking yes you can. Would it toil yes it will. Will it be a healthy system I believe not. The reason is:
A 5 AMP fuse can absorb more current spike before it blows up then a 4 AMP fuse. There fore it will blow up much later then the 4 AMP fuse which might movement the breakdown of your system.
Another good reason why I would recommend against it is:
Your circuit resistance and all electromagnetic properties are well calculated with in the actual engineering of the system. If you change a component in this case increasing the AMP on a fuse will cause an increase in the resistance of the circuit. Now depends on what the ambit does and what it sets out to achieve, that change will definitely change the way the circuit transfer current and voltage.
my amp is a 350 monoblock 2 ohms durable ...i have 2, 12 inch subs with dual voice coil that are 2 ohms ...my predicament is my sub wiring continues to blow my amp fuse. im running 1 pos and 1 neg to the box and they split into 2 connections for each sub what is the way to wire it 2 oms stable
If you have 1 sub put a jumper wire between one + and one - on the sub and the other+ - to the amp for 4 ohm's. If you have two subs your out of chances for correct wiring. Unless you only use one coil per sub. 1 set of wires from the amp to each sub with no jumpers. Considered hack but it works. If your are discombobulated try going to www.the12volt.com Look at the left side of the page and scrool down until you see Car audio then click on Up and series calculators
Bought a 4 Guage Amp Wiring Kit 2 sluice kit(100amp ANL Fuse)
Sony XM-ZR1252 800 Watt 2/1 Channel Amplifier has 2 fuses 25amp each
Dual 12inch Sony xplode subs 2000W Culmination Power (600W RMS) is the 100amp ANL fuse too much or its fine?
the fuse at the battery is not to conserve the amp. it is to protect the power wire from starting a fire if it were to ever get disconnected from the amp or get cut anywhere and arc. you always want this fuse to be more than your amp's rating so you don't exaggerate it from messing with the amp. the amp should have fuses at it as well, either inline or built in.
the 100a fuse at the battery will be fine.
