Do wood furnaces bother people who have allergies or asthma?

We're remodeling a farmhouse and will move into it when it's done. There is an existing wood furnace, but it's not hooked up. A stimulate oil furnace is hooked up.

We'd save $$ by using the wood furnace with free wood from our property, but our children have asthma and allergies. Can fiery wood bother their symptoms?

There could potentially be a ungovernable since smoke can carry those allergens. My best friend has children with asthma and when the neighbors burn their branches, obsolete grass, etc, it sets her children off into an asthma attack even though they are indoors with filtered air.

I read somewhere on an allergy website that people allergic to peanuts have been known to have ascetic reactions from inhaling peanut protein that was dispersed into the air from cooking it.

Being someone who suffers from extreme allergies to all grasses and most trees, I certainly wouldn't do it for myself much less the kids.

Are external wood furnaces allowed in the city?

I've never lived in the bishopric before. Do cities restrict external wood furnaces as a primary source of heating? Is it a city-by-city thing? I'm looking at Janesville, WI. I as a person would not like to pay for LP for heating with the prices on the rise.

it depends on the getting one's hands of the city and where in the city. it also depends on the environmental regulations imposed on the city residents or on the genersl visible

I long for to get a wood burning furnace installed this summer ,I would to hear some of the do's and dont's ......before I adjudicate on what brand and etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Travel sure you make the side of the chimney water tight.
Ensure that birds can't nest in it.
Fill out c draw up sure the chiminey is wide enough and that you can regulate the air flow.
Make sure you get a good screen to not torch anything around the furnace.
Get a good kist to store wood in. Make sure you have a brush and scoop to get ash out.
Make definite the grid is a good spacing for airflow and won't drop everything through.
