How much will it cost to replace an old TRANE furnace?

I am planning to make restitution for our old TRANE furnace. I have 1700 sq ft house. I recently received an estimate of $2600 - $2800 installation included but it could be more if they will find more problems. And if they find more problems, the amount would be way above our budget. A moment ago want to find out if the estimate that I got is reasonable?

Move them give you a written estimate with a set price. If they've been to your home and seen the curent set-up, they know exactly what it's thriving to cost! Get a written estimate with a set price, and make them stick to it. Or else find another company because it sounds like this one is preparing to put one's money where one's mouth is it to you...

It depends on the Prophetess rating. The higher the Seer rating, the more expensive it will be. A higher Seer rating cools/heats ytour domestic quicker, so in the long run you save on your Electricity bill. I can't answer the price questions, but if they are replacing the Air handler also and the Crystal-gazer rating in 12 or higher, then 2600-2800 is very reasonable. TraNe is also a great brand.
I am also assuming this is a 3 Ton Unit?

I have to replace my furnace and central air. Reco is Trane furnace Coleman a/c. Good advice?

One HVAC concern is recommending Trane XV 90 but Coleman 2 ton B2CS 10 Seer-last year's model. They say it's because I am responsible about humidity in summer. Is this a good reco- not going with 13 Seer? And is Coleman a good mark- don't see many around here (Toronto Ontario). Another company is reco Trane furnace and Trane a/c-XR 13. Diff take on same obstreperous. Opinions?

I went with Trane. Is the XV90 a builders qualify. Make sure you know before you buy. No Offence to the Lennox Guy but I have had nothing but problems with my Lennox furnace. My sister has one and is replacing it as well.
