Why is the Oregon :Legislature conspiring with the Oil companies to outlaw wood burning stoves and furnaces?

The phase has passed legislation that forbids wood burning stoves and furnaces to operate with no visable plume.


This is a far greater balance that the State has for oil burning furnaces.

I guesstimate they passed the legislation in order to protect the woods.
I myself like the smell of the wood burning, but I support all other choice ways of heating that do not pollute the environment. This brings me to the oil question; I do not think that oil burns cleaner, but by burning oil, we safeguard the woodlands.

Is anyone using biodiesel in keosene heater or oil burning furnaces successfully?

I have been using it in my furnace for three winters. it can be utilized anywhere you can use number 2 fuel oil. if the heater needs kerosene it will not work. Do not use straight vegetable oil in your furnace. It will choke up the nozzle in a few hours. Treat the oil with lye and methanol to make it into biodiesel. Your furnace will run cleaner and more efficiently than with petroleum sustain.

Ok, i have an oil burning furnace and due curious what type of things i should get for it??? Like, do I need an oil filter for it should i get a carbon manoxide detector???
