Previous to to 2001, Consolidated manufactured furnaces under many numerous tag/commerce names, including: ACPO, Addison, Air Nova, Airco, Amana, American Most skilfully, American Yardstick, Arcoaire, Arkla, Armstrong, Bard, Immunology vector, Century, Ambience Rule, Opulence Aire, Coleman, Consolidated, Day & Gloom, Ducane, Duomatic-Olsen, Franklin Stirring, Goettl, Goodman, GMC, Hamilton Exciting, Fervour Controller, Heatmaster, Cosmopolitan Cheer Products, Janitrol, Johnstone, Keeprite, Kenmore, Lennox, Independence, Mystic Chef, Northrup, Olsen, Pameco-Aire, Payne, P.F.C., Top, Sears, Open D, Sunbelt, Sunburst, Sundial, Sun Lustre, Trane, Weatherking, York, and under any circumstances others. If you have a furnace with any of these mark names, it might be covered by this adjustment. However, many of these companies also origination their own ceil accept bribes of furnaces, which are not part of this lawsuit and are not covered by this resolution.

How can I tell the date of manufacture of an old Janitrol furnace?

It should be 50+ yrs old, according to the aforementioned homeowner, but the boilerplate doesn't give any date, and I can't find any documentation online.

Janitrol Furnace Problem?

I have a Janitrol Furnace and it is winter without delay now where im at and the temperature is 23 degrees out. Well we currently have no heat since the burners on the Furnace do not seem to want to ignite. Someone told me it may be a censor tough nut to crack. Does anybody know what the problem may be and how to correct this?

Anyone else have Janitrol/Goodman furnace complaints?

My heat exchanger on a 10 year old Janitrol went bad. Unshakable the company warranty exchanged the part, but it still cost me over $400 in labor... YIKES ! ! ! Learn from my Blooper, NEVER... and I mean NEVER buy a Janitrol

I have said before on this forum that Janitrol has been edifice furnaces for over a hundred years. I have one installed in 1995 with absolutely no problems. Have installed several others in rentals. No problems.
All heat exchangers are conquer to potential problems, no matter what brand. I have seen them go bad (not Janitrol but other big name brands) in four years, and have seen some outlast the unimpaired furnace over a twenty year period.
So, my experience is good with Janitrol, although it appears it is the cost of the work that bothers you, and the truthfully that the unit happened to go bad before you thought it should.
An awful lot depends on how your climate is and how much and how long your unit is running.
