Are corn furnaces or wood pellet furnaces a better alternative to my natural gas home furnace?

After a friend in Iowa told me that they vehemence their house to 80 degrees for only $1 per day, I had to figure out a better way to do what I am doing. They use a shelled-corn-fueled-furnace. After doing some probe I have found that many recommend wood pellet furnaces. So, which is most efficient and which has a stronger future (ie. fuel supply, less volatile prize for the commodity, etc.)? Thanks

I have two corn parching stoves and I have been very happy with them. I am not sure if corn or wood pellets is more efficient but I think corn is cheaper to manage. Also you can buy corn in bulk from a farmer or grain elevator, with pellets you have all the bags. The heat from corn seems to facilitate with humidity, it does not feel as dry. Right now I am using one bushel of corn per day so thats about $3.50 (for each stove). Last year it was $2.00. Corn prices do variation so $2 can and most likely will happen again.

Depends on your court...both are good but the corn is cheaper in the midwest and the pellets are cheaper in timber areas...I have seen and like both types...Go to your restricted...hardware or feed store and see what is selling and cheaper.

recommend home gas furnace for heating and good price for installation -- is there such a thing as solar?

there is solar top heating but is there such a thing as solar heating for heating a home? otherwise what is a good gas furnace and install price thanks.

I need a mobile home gas furnace manual!?

Its a quick home built in 1984, and the furnace is a Home brand Model number AGC-80 Type A... turns out thats merged four times, from lear &siegler to miller to nordyne. its a gas furnace, and I have been not able to get the pilot lit. I've tried EVERYTHING. I really need a manual, but I'll settle for suggestions.

Norodyne is also gibson. Try Norodyne.com. I'm a negotiations. Check for gas first. If you have gas then you probably have a pilot tube blockage or gas valve problem if the pilot doesn't not burdensome at all.. Otherwise I don't want to tell you to much because that will make you dangerous. Call a hvac contractor please. Gas does make a big bang if you call upon up.
