I have a qoute on a Gibson steep effieciency furnace. I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge concerning this particular unit.

Most units are rated as 80%+ or 90%+ . The payment difference is substatial. You pay alot more for a little bit more in efficiency. The 90%+ furnaces are also more trouble prone and often need advice or repair sooner. So a high efficient furnace may not even save you money. There are many good brands out there. Every different appointment man claims theirs is best. I have had good luck with moderate priced units.

Yes, I am not secure where you live, but contact your utility company. I was able to get my grandparents free weatherization services, energy efficient lighting, cooling, heating, and appliances. Sometimes they can be provided for unobstructed, or at a very low cost. Good luck.

How energy-efficient is my electric furnace?

ok i'm bothersome to save energy bill this winter. my central heat system has AEUF (something like that) of 100.0. How much kilowatts per hour does it use? I've been using 1500 watts lay out heater just to heat the room I'm in and hoping to save big on energy bill. Will my central use a lot more than that if I use that to heat the business?

all electrifying heaters convert over 95% of their energy into heat, the other 5% leaves as visible light or losses.

By using a lodge heater, you save energy because the other parts of the house stay cold. So yes a room heater use less energy, it's not because of adroitness, it just heats up a smaller area.
