Laptop to TV using vga Shuts down TV?

I right-minded bought a vga male to male 15ft line with audio 3.5mm jack
Everything hooks and when i change my tv to computer the tv shuts off also the tv shows no signal.when i grab in my Desktop vga it works fine.
I change my resolution

laptops have a FN key for aim so on my computer I would hold FN and push f8 till the picture appears on the tv. but your laptop might be a different f-key it should either say crt/lcd or show like 2 monitors on it.

How can I connect two LCD TV's together to a PC?

Hey, I wanted to be aware what was the best way to connect two LCD's to a PC where the TV's are a little more than 5 ft apart and the computer about 15ft?

I know they have VGA y splitter cables, but none that can connect the two monitors
