I commiserate with that they are two different sizes but the videos I have on my laptop are perfect quality and I would like to play them with the same quality on my HDTV. At this import I have an S Video cord to transmit the video but it isnt the best

It can't be done via S-video. S-video is not competent of carrying an HD signal. An SVGA connection would probably look better, because it would be a direct digital kin. Right now, your laptop is converting digital to analog to send over S-video, and
