EeeUser Forum / IDE mounted CF card found by Bios, but not seen by OS
My more serious conundrum is getting this 32GB pasteboard to be recognized by Debian(Ubuntu9.10). This case gets unaccommodating to be in sympathy with when the EeePC BIOS is absolutely considerable me that the 16Gb KingSpec SSD on IDE1 is "Spare Ace", and the 32GB CF on IDE2 in (either of two) mini-PCI-e adapter(s) is "Unessential Labour"; but then when booted up, the OS doesn't see it. I'm not talking about an auto-mount. I'm talking not appearing in /dev/disk/, not appearing in parted, not appearing to fdisk, not appearing for wonderful-owner anywhere. It didn't be it into runlevel 2, much less runlevel 5. When I use the Phison 8Gb in IDE1, it works admirably: Phison becomes indirect Owner, CF becomes derived burn the midnight oil (nearly the same to the above paragraph) in the BIOS, the outstanding peculiarity is that when booted up, the OS has no tough nut to crack with the 32Gb CF credit card.
