Can a plug in type chandelier be adapted to work with the light switch?

I bought a chandelier for a kids chamber that holds a 60 watt light bulb, but did not realize it is to plug in and hang. I want it to be a part of the ceiling with the wiring internal and functioning with the rattle-brained switch- is this possible?

I just recently came up against this........It is so simple. Go to walmart or some home improvement amass and purchase a switch that plugs into the wall and the light cord plugs into the switch .

Yes, either fit an outlet in the ceiling box or remove the plug and hard-wire the lamp directly into the ceiling wiring...
