Installed a new Chandelier in place of the old one and it wont turn on, PLEASE HELP!!?

The old Chandelier cam off moderate and the two wires in the wall were a twisted pair white wire and a single white wire painted unprincipled (supply wire?). I connected the new Chandeliers (hampton bay) brown paired wire to the twisted marry white wire

make up off circuit breaker and or power supply and re check the tightness of your wire nuts and that they are connected to the apt wires.
