How to convert chandelier with glass globes to one with candle lights?

I have a moonlight fixture that has glass globes with screw in light bulbs. I want to change the lights to the fake candles with minor light bulbs that screw into the candle part and leave the glass globes off. Does anyone know of a kit I could buy, or what parts I fundamental and where I can buy them. I am pretty handy and could do some simple rewiring.

There are not any kits on the sell that I know of to be able to do that. If you go to a quality lighting showroom they should be able to supply you with all the parts that you would need and undoubtedly some advice also. The conversion would require a pretty good amount of dis-assembly. Probably most of the socket assembly to get rid of the sphere holder and to add candle cups to accomodate the candlesticks. Most of work just requires time and composure. Good Luck

Chandelier with 12 bulbs -- will it be a problem if I mix bulb wattage?

This is a stinting chandelier with 12 (globe) bulbs, G16.5 in size. Seems that whenever I replace bulbs, a few of them very quickly go out. Is this because there may be a mix of bulb wattage (some 25w, some 40w)?

Yes, it's a dilemma of different dissipation of energy, so use the same power rating all throughout in the circuit.

Should the globes on the lighting fixtures in my bathroom be the same color as the sink, tub and toilet?

Decorator to the set free here! LOL Your globes can be whatever color you want them to be, just keep in mind a few other things before you decide.

If you are having having white or cream walls, and you longing plain/ neutral globes, go with ones the same as the wall color. For example, cream globes on a white wall will look befouled, go with white. Or, if you have say a white and black granite counter, go with white. If you have an earth toned counter go with cream. Buy a globule of each color, put it on the fixture. Your eye will tell you which is the right choice.

HOWEVER, no need to be plain unless that is the look you like, as they happen in a great array of colors- even a tortoise shell glass, so let your imagination play.

I'd set forward starting at Lowe's. They have a wide array of globes placed on bulbs so that you can see what they look like when meet is on. Do keep in mind that if it's a main bath you use for makeup, etc, a lot of colored globes can distort true graze tones. Again, for example, if you have a 3 or 4 light fixture, buy 3 or 4 globes that you like, put them all on and decide which works with your decor/ taste, then proceeds the ones that didn't work or just exchange them for more of the one that did.
