Put you some irritated water, and 2capfuls of vinegar in a bucket and use a cloth rag to clean with, works perfect all the time for me.

If your chandelier is crystal, not glassware, than warm mild soapy water only. If ti is regular glass, you can use vinegar, preferably apple cider or ivory vinegar and warm water.

I justifiable read an article that says you should never spray a chandelier and let it drip-dry. The water settles in the recesses of the metal equipment and will eventually corrode or rust it. The site suggested making a "map" of the lamp, removing the crystals, washing them in placid dish soap, then replacing them on the lamp.

Ammonia and bedew dilute makes crystal shine like diamonds. That's what I use. Take the crystals off first, don't clean them while they are still fixed devoted to to the lamp.

It all depends on how much effort you are willing to do and what it is made of.

If you can remove the glass/crystal pieces, I'd say use a mild natural dish soap and blot out each one seperate then let dry. Then use a soft cloth to sort of "polish" the glass/crystals. Then innocent any metal with plain water and a soft cloth. Using this method will get it clean and will not damage it regardless of if it is drinking-glass, crystal, plastic, etc.

If it has a lot of glass, use 50% vinegar to 50% water and wash only the glass with this mix. Do not get this mixture on metal or plastic as it "could" damage it under certain circumstances.

Good happenstance!

Violent water and gentle dish soap always works. Depends on what your chandelier is made of. I know instead of going out and buying Jewelry cleaner for your Jewelry, you can simply use Windex. Cleans like a charm!! All jewelry, gold, silver, and
especially diamonds look scintillating. Like you just bought it. Shiny & new. Could mix windex with water. It will come out bright and crystal forgiven.

Yes, go to a shapely lighting store and they sell a product called Sparkle. You line the floor with plastic or papers and then quilt it on the chandelier. The dirt just rolls off and leave a nice clean glossy look.

Where can I find info on cleaning a chandelier?

Would in point of fact like to find someone to do it, as my previous cleaner person no longer does this service. My chandelier looks like something from Disney's Haunted Mansion tour.

How do I clean a crystal chandelier?

I have a very sooty chandelier in my dining room. I dust it as best I can, but it looks awful. How do I clean it without taking it down? It's too tangled to dismantle. Any ideas?

They off with a aerosol spray cleaner just for crystal chandeliers. Go to any lighting store or maybe Lowe's has it. I've employed it on mine.It works good for me.
