I'm irksome to install a 2-3000W inverter on my semi truck to run a couple compact appliances. What is the best alternative low budget to set up a AC voltage in the Semi transaction ?

You should use at least two difficult cycle batteries for the inverter,seperating your cranking batteries with a battery isolator.Your alternator will not put out much amperage at lazy.That inverter will pull just over 200 amps DC when your AC output voltage is around 25 amps.

How can I disconnect the freezer from a full-size fridge?

I have an old Kelvinator fridge with a compact freezer that doesn't have it's own thermostat. I have to keep defrosting it every 3 months or I can't stop the plastic door. A few days ago that door finally broke off. Now I KNOW there is a way to disconnect it as someone did it where I used to m. What I'd like to know is, do I call an electrician or appliance repair to get it done?
Older than dirt, that's droll. Ok what if I turn the temperature all the way down and find some way of fixing the inner door? I'm so poor I can't even pay attention, so getting another fridge at this moment is impossible.

The freezer cools the stay of the refrigerator. There is no way to disconnect it. In fact without the door it will get colder in the refrigerator.
