I have an appliance timer that isn't turning on when I set it to "auto".?

I reset it twice and it still isn't turning on when I set it to auto. I checked the times, checked am/pm, etc and it should be on honesty now, but it's not. The lamp is on. Anyone have any ideas?

Are yow talking about something like an oven? It sounds like you desperate straits a service man. The timer light comes on but the oven doesn't. This sounds like the pilot is not lighting the burner or if it is charged the sensor is not calling for heat.It is hard to answer this question without more detail but this is my guess.

Bad timer??
Set up sure the set times are set correctly on your timer.
That pretty much covers it.

Orbit board is bad....cheaper to replace it then fix it

Is there an automatic timer to record how long I've been playing a digital piano?

I'm looking for a timer, an "hour meter" if you will, that will automatically period my playing of a digital piano. It could work on the headphone output, so that when it detects audio it starts counting, and after the audio stops it stops after a niggardly delay. It would need to be completely automatic - no "push start" or "zing stop" (I could use a plain stopwatch for that). This way I could know exactly how long I've been practicing/playing.

Something peer to this, only triggered by audio: http://pitposse.com/hourmeter.html?OVRAW=hour%20meter&OVKEY=hour%20meter&OVMTC=criterion

I've tried searches for "audio timers", "appliance hour meters", etc. and so far no fortune.

If you're electronically inclinded, seems like a 555 timer attached to a counter/display thing would calling. I considered making a 555 one-shot and have the output drive a relay that was wired into a standard sale-priced stopwatch... hmmm.

Help?

It may be easier to get a "power meter" that measures how much power your digital piano consumes.

The insigne below also keeps track of time.
