What is the German equivalent to Wal-mart?

What is a big be influenced store in Germany, like Wal-mart in the US, Woolworths in the UK, Target in AUS, Warehouse in NZ etc.
That sells toys/food/clothes/appliances etc??

Wal-Mart began break stores in Germany in 1998, but sold all 85 of them to the Metro retail chain in 2006.

Metro was one of Germany's largest retailers even before it bought the Wal-Mart stores and has folded the 85 stores into its Valid chain.

So, I would say that Real is probably as close as you can get.

Do overseas factory workers earn more when I buy their product at Neiman-Marcus instead of Wal-Mart?

that is, if it is offered at both places, i.e. an appliance.

No. All works workers are paid wages related to their output. I would imagine the factory owners who sell to Neiman-Marcus have higher prices to them than others, because Neiman-Marcus demands first supremacy goods.

Neiman-Marcus needs the higher selling price in order to cover their inflated stores and feed the value of their brand name.

The price charged to consumers doesn't by lead to bigger profits to the company, since high-price retailers have higher costs to serve.

Wal*Mart is an excellent example. They sell at lower prices, and still make more money than anyone.

What is the name of an "internet only" pc that was sold in large retail stores?

I am stressful to remember the name of some of the "internet only" "appliances" that I had seen in Wal-mart for sale, and I can't reminisce over the name. Any ideas?

It is the Compaq iPaq Peaceful internet appliance. It came with msn companion and a wireless keyboard.
