Amana Tool Easily Create a Tambour / Appliance Garage

Lonnie Bird and Amana Cut demonstrate how to easily construct a tambour / appliance garage using Amana Tool's new patented Tambour Door ...

My kitchen remodel included "appliance installation" does that include moving the appliances into the house?

I hired a scullery design company to do a total gut and remodel of my kitchen. The contract says that appliance installation is included. The appliance companionship dropped off the appliances in my garage. My kitchen contractor is claiming that only the "installation" of the appliances is included, not the earthly movement of the appliances from outside the house to inside. Is this typical? I feel like I'm getting ripped off because I might have to put in extra money to get a mover.

When we spell out installation, we mean that we physically move them from where they were delivered to where they will be installed. It often happens that the appliances are delivered before other work that needs to be performed before the appliance is installed, isn't. And, we don't long for the appliances cluttering up the area until that work is completed, so many clients have them delivered into the garage until my electrician or plumber says the appliance is rapid to be installed and all other prep work is completed.

Personally, I would be a little insistent with the design company that they move the appliances from the garage to the scullery. Especially, if there is other work to be completely prior to their installation. I would threaten to contact the Better Business Chest and the State Contractor's Licensing Board to complain. Moreover, this is a very poor example of customer ritual and I gather they aren't expecting you to be a happy satisfied customer who will act as a referral in the future!

NO NO NO!!! Do not pay mark-up for them to MOVE the appliances in the house.
Installation means moving and installing. They are just lazy.
How would you NEED to pay them if you moved the appliances already in the setting you want them???

You hired the intentions company, not the kitchen contractor. Call the design company and let them know whats going on. No reason for you to confute with someone you don't have a contract with. Hopefully, you haven't paid in full yet.

I would call the make-up company first, because it is actually there problem.

No results? I would call a lawyer!

how can i make money off my old appliances?i don't mean a garage sale?

i don't hunger to hav a garage sale but i do want to see if i can sell things like old tv's or vcr's or a computer. even and old washer and dryer. r ther places u can dispose of old junk to? what if the appliance is broken?

Flip the ads in your local newspaper. Mine always has an ad looking for used appliances working or not. We have a second hand computer/games/movies/music/tuneful instruments store in town also that will buy some of your stuff if it works. One of my friends works at a place called "computers for schools"...they take in donated computers and get them working for the schools.

How to I get more power into my converted garage bedroom?

Hi, we at most recently converted our garage into a bedroom. but the problem is that there is a separate fusebox in the garage. And when you use to many appliances a fuse(I think it is a melt) switches off and part of the electricity in the garage turns off. Is there any easy way to fix this and still being able to use all the appliances. There is a computer, a tv, direct tv box on at all times. But since it gets chilly in there sometimes we have two heaters set up but can't put them at full blast or the power switches off in the garage. If you can help it would be much appreciated!

You say you finished off the garage. Does that dreary drywall on the walls and ceiling? Unfortunately the electric work should have been done before any finishing work. Do you have a basement? is it finnished? Please give more info
