Does Habitat for Humanity accept working appliances as donations?

Their fund is closed now or I'd just ask them. :) I didn't see any information one way or another on their website. Thanks for any info.

Yes in most places. They would be sold in the Realm thrift shop to raise money to build homes or used in a home that is being built. In our extent they will also pick up such donations which is good because donors may not have a way to get it to them. Do call them when they open and find out hours when donations are accepted. Most places can not allow donations just left outside the door or gate for many reasons ranging from local ordinences, to the susceptibility ppl have to dump junk instead of usable items, to the equally bad tendency some have to help themselves to waht was meant for the munificence.

BTW n most places there is no connection between Salvation Army and Habitat.

I have a scullery stove in very good condition, its too nice to just throw away, somebody could get use from it

some salvation army and dav stores take appliances. if not call some particular social service orgs. or food banks. i'm sure they or some low income family would greatly find worthwhile your generosity.
