Why would an airport fire appliance respond away from the airport?

I survive about 3 miles away from the airport. An airport fire appliance came past my house, with blues and twos and an escort.

I thought that airport appliances don't turn one's back on airports since they have to give 24 hour cover to the runway.

Nothing in the media.

Is this common or a rarity?

It is nothing uncommon to call exigency equipment in to play when other local equipment is busy on other cases ot temporarily out of service.

I loaded in a four floor apartment building in Brooklyn. I have a 5.8ghz cordless phone, a Verizon phone, and all the other established household appliances (diswasher, TV, etc). I feel like everyone around me is enjoying speedy wireless connections. What am I doing inexpedient? I have a new MacBook with up to date software.

It may be set-back or defective signal.
1. Try a different channel
2. Check antenna connections

New airport x-ray scan bodies, not just bags... (IS IT NECESSARY??)?

Amsterdam's Schiphol airport began using new torso-scanning machines at security checkpoints, becoming the first major airport to use the technology to find metals and explosives hidden under clothing.

Effective through the scanning machine takes about three seconds, allowing passengers to avoid metal detectors or cadaver searches.

The scanner being deployed uses low-dose X-rays that can see through clothing but not human skin and can even savour such personal details as evidence of mastectomies, colostomy appliances, penile implants, catheter tubes and the hugeness of breast and genitals.

Is it necessary to implement such body scanning bcoz there is no privacy then?. What do you think??

More ionizing shedding exposure... yay... I'm afraid I would have to say that I do not think it is necessary. I heard about this technology on the BBC, and they say that the genitals will be blurred on the demonstration screen. If so, then couldn't someone hide something dangerous around their genital area, and with no body searches or metal detectors it would not be noticed?
